Second Bamiyan

Bamiyan had the biggest standing statues of Buddha, which were built on Silk Route symbolizing peace and prosperity, the same ideas on which Islam was founded. In 2001 Taliban in Afghanistan, with misinterpretation of Islam made by Osama and party, declared Buddha’s statues as non-Islamic and shamelessly murdered the world heritage site, while entire world was looking at it tears in their eyes.

On March 10, 2011, the statues standing on Tank bund in Hyderabad were declared by TRS and Kodandaram as Non-Telangana statues, just like Taliban declared the Bahamian statues. Destroying statues of Jasua, Sri Krishnadevaraya, Sri Sri and other great poets and statesmen, has disturbed each and every educated and sensible person from AP, which includes Telangana, Andhra and Rayalaseema alike.

Saw a guy on TV sitting next one of the desecrated statues, he was from Khammam, and I don’t want to tag him to certain region. This particular guy is preparing for IAS, in one of the IAS institutes below Tank bund. His eyes are filled with tears and he’s crying like a baby resonating every Telugu person, crying for their inability to stop this gruesome act and cursing those politicians for using people’s sentiment for their political gains. I hope this guy becomes IAS officer and gets allocated to AP. Amen.
